The Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda (MIVAU) has announced the projects to be presented in the central hall of the Spanish Pavilion at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale, which will run from 10 May to 23 November 2025.
On the jury were Iñaqui Carnicero, Anna Bach, Eva Gil, María Langarita, and the Pavilion’s curators, Roi Salgueiro and Manuel Bouzas. The theme thought out by the latter two, ‘Internalities: Architectures for Territorial Equilibrium,’ will represent Spain at the Venice Biennale with the aim of exploring strategies for decarbonizing architecture in our country. The exhibition will explain how an emerging generation of Spanish architects is proeducing works that strike a balance between ecologies and economics. The curators structure the show around five fundamental aspects of reducing emissions in the building sector: materials, occupations, energies, residues, and emissions.
