Complying with local building tradition, the project renovates a medical practice in Azanuy, a municipality of under 200 people in the comarca of La Litera, in the Aragonese province of Huesca. The clinic is above a warehouse and a garage, both of which are to be maintained.

A courtyard connects the existing space (foyer, infirmary, pharmacy, and toilet) to the extension (consulting room), which stretches over the garage all the way to the edge of the narrow site, in a longitudinal arrangement that opens out to the plaza and the rural landscape, which the extension frames. Loadbearing walls of thermoclay – 24 and 29 centimeters thick – hold up the unidirectional slabs of reinforced concrete with curving brick vaults. The interiors are given glazed ceramic claddings.
