In the year 2008, the Madrid-based studio Mansilla + Tuñón won the international competition to build the first of the domes included in the Regional Plan for the Duero Valley: the main building of the Institutional Campus of Eco-City Soria, in Soto de Garray. The building is designed with the intention of qualifying a series of natural spaces and the area of the new city surrounding it, accommodating a program that promotes sustainable development. Almost half of the initial investment of 100 million euros has been used up to now.
