The paleomodern spirit is evident in the interchange created by Moneo for the new Atocha station in Madrid. The great cylinder of brick pillars, turned 45 degrees, as in the La Previsión building in Seville, is both temple and take-off base, monument and factory; it has imposed itself, despite its small size in the context of the square, as a representative piece, in duo with the old Alberto del Palacio canopy and the future vestibule of the new station, which takes on a subordinate role to the monumental and recognizable character of such important iron architecture...[+]
