The Catalan practice of Miquel Espinet and Antoni Ubach has completed this 26-unit apartment building on a leftover plot that borders with the old Can Batlló textile factory, in the Sants neighborhood. The courtyard is the main feature, serving as a hub for neighbors to socialize in and also as a regulator of temperature. A ring of services forms around it. Encompassing a total of 3.949 square meters and raised on a budget of 2,680,938 euros, the construction adapts its height to each street by combining fractures of facade and enclosure planes. The color white of the dwellings – with vertical perforations and foldable aluminum shutters – strikes a contrast with the gray of the corrugated sheets at ground level.
