The project recovers the granite ruins of an old construction and renews them, adding a few adjustments in the openings, to comply with the program. Inside, another brick house is clad in granite walls, already treated.

The pavement is made of the same type of clay that was produced in the local kilns, though it had to be brought from the Alentejo, and the interior walls are built with plasterboard for reasons of efficiency and cost. The roof is flat, formed by a reinforced concrete slab, whose formwork made of tongue and groove pine slats achieves a finish similar to that of the wooden ceilings.

Steel frames have been used to close the exterior openings, with double, colorless, and anti-glare glazing. The use of glass in green, blue, gray, or mirror tones contributes to the thermal performance of the building.

The exterior spaces are the greatest challenge here. The plans drawn up improvised the intentions, working on the site as if it were an exploration, following patterns and the natural lines of the terrain.
