In Patrónka, an area in the western part of Bratislava, rises the new ESET campus, all of 55,000 square meters. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, Inflow, Pantograph, BuroHappold, and ARUP, the tech neighborhood replaces an old military hospital. Drawing inspiration from the Carpathian Mountains nearby, the scheme topped a competition held in 2019. Twelve volumes varying in size and use, separate but interconnected, are arranged around a main courtyard and visually unified by undulating roofs equipped with solar panels. The buildings along the perimeter contains public spaces, while the four of those rising within the site accommodate ESET staff. On the northwest side, the campus opens up to the park. Construction is to begin in 2024, for completion in 2027.
