Football is the most important of the least important things, and such adoration for the king of sports games has birthed a house located on the sunny side of the Madrid mountains, one which seeks to reconcile the slope with the flatness required by the ball. With this in mind the house is organized in a series of terraces on which two livable monolithic volumes are built: one more nestled against the terrain and in continuity with a swimming pool for the hot months, the upper one more exposed to the winter sun and designed in a cantilever in order to form a small court on the roof, from which to try, as Cruyff put it, “to make the field as big as possible when you have the ball”.
