On the premise of fusing architecture with the landscape in the city of Lagos, in Portugal’s Algarve region, RCR arquitectes – Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem, Ramon Vilalta – designed this construction for the Palmares golf resort, with the restaurant Al Sud, and it is scheduled to open this June 2021.

Adapting to the topography of the site, the stepped arrangement of blocks of reddish-toned blocks are integrated into the coastal environment with porous roofs that take in the existing trees. The clubhouse is the first building that the Catalonian firm has completed for the Palmares Ocean Living & Golf Resort. Owned and operated by Kronos Homes, the complex will feature a luxury offer of 103 villas and 357 apartments, among which 8 villas reaching completion in the summer of 2021 and 37 apartments now under construction for 2022 are by RCR.
