Nuevo Polanco is an old industrial area in Mexico City, where several refurbishment and conversion projects are currently in progress. Aside from the Jumex Museum, there are other noteworthy buildings in the area such as the Cervantes Theater, by the Madrid-based office Ensamble Studio, and Plaza Carso, an urban redevelopment proposal that combines commercial, residential and cultural programs, with works like the Soumaya Museum.
