The beautiful stations of Plaza de Armas and San Bernardo will be used for other purposes, while near the latter, to the east, on the grounds of Porta Coeli, the new central station of Seville will be built, according to a project by the architects Antonio Cruz and Antonio Ortiz. The station, which will be built on top of a set of tracks that will cross the city subway from north to south, will be enclosed in the center of a large enclosure made up of several auxiliary buildings that, adjusted to the perimeter streets, will give the site an urban character.
