On the south border of Sant Fruitós, a municipality of the Catalonian comarca of Bages, this school rises on the north part of the plot, facing the avenue Sant Joan. The complex tries to concentrate its facilities along that side, including the preexisting sports court and gym. Inserted between the two-story volume of the primary school and the single-floor nursery block is a passageway leading to the main hall, breaking the continuity of the 91-meter facade.

The school is organized as a transition between the urban and rural areas of the place. The site presents uneven ground, sloping up toward the countryside on the south, resulting in a 6-meter grade difference. Hence the three exterior levels. On the lowest one are the entrance, the passageway, the kindergarten playgrounds, the way to the gym, and the dining patio. On an intermediate level, connected to the Brucardes path, we find the sports court. And the highest level features the main playground, the first floor, and direct access to the classrooms of the elementary school. This upper level is in contact with the rural environment, with terraces and the vegetation of fig and almond trees. It is organized with slopes, and deciduous trees were added to give shade in summer.
