Child care center at Palais de l'Alma in Paris

Commissioned by the Présidence de la République, this daycare for 24 children is located at the heart of the Palais de l’Alma in Paris, within the monumental complex. Built with timber and rammed earth, it stands in the garden behind the 19th-century palace, once the stables of Napoleon III’s imperial house and now serving the presidential offices. The single-level buildings are immersed in a historical symmetrical architecture. The nursery is equipped with custom-made wooden furniture pieces that facilitate rearrangement of the spaces.
