AV Monographs 257-258: Nieto Sobejano
Experimentation and dialogue are central to the creative process of Fuensanta Nieto and Enrique Sobejano, and in their works light, matter, and space are as intimately connected as they are to landscape, history, and architecture. This is clear from the texts in which the architects themselves interpret each one of the twenty-two projects in the monograph at hand, a double volume of 216 pages which covers their career over the last twelve years, a fertile period in which the office, from its studios based in Madrid and Berlin, has strengthened its presence outside Spain, with buildings as relevant as the Arvo Pärt Center in Estonia, the Archive of the Avant-Garde, or Montblanc Haus, both in Germany. Furthermore, their proposals have succeeded in major international competitions, such as the Cité du Théâtre in Paris or the Dallas Museum of Art.
