In Seville, in an environment characterized by its heterogeneity – very diverse in architecture, uses, and sizes – this residential complex seeks to effect a morphological continuity between the new construction and the adjoining buildings and public spaces.
The building is executed with an uninterrupted skin of white bricks. The project responds to urbanistic demands by trying to distort the standard scheme of the closed block by means of a system of overhanging terraces (living rooms) interwoven at the corners. The facade of the lower part of the building presents openings with sliding lattices (bedrooms), accentuating the serialized image of the whole development. Eleven entrances leading to two apartments per floor surround an inner courtyard. A clear-cut, rational geometry governs the layout of rooms, the structure, the modules of the facade, etc.
