One-family house in Guisande

Rodrigo Currás Torres

A work of the Galician architect Rodrigo Currás Torres (Moaña, 1980), this house is located in Guisande, a village under the jurisdiction of the municipality of Brión, in A Coruña province. It is organized by means of spatial cells juxtaposed with a strong directionality, the idea being to capture the essence of the place, with its linear forest.

Along with courtyards and oblique views, the lattices help to ensure privacy and to give the light and the uses a nuance. With a fragmented roof, the house presents a prismatic matrix volume with a rectangular ground floor perforated by courtyards.
