Tree house in Buenos Aires

Estudio Botteri-Connell

The Argentinian practice of Sofia Botteri and Patricio Connell designed this house for a young family with two children, located in a country club in the province of Buenos Aires. Surrounded by trees, the 180-square-meter modular structure is defined by a composition of Vierendeel beams of concrete supported by corbels. At the heart of the building, a void acts as an environmental regulator and eliminates the idea of separated layers. The enclosure of movable wooden planks gives privacy and protection against the sun.
