House in the Clouds in Salsipuedes

Malvina Zayat

In Salsipuedes, located 30 kilometers from Córdoba, Argentina, this house immersed in nature adapts to a steep slope. Containing an area of 106 square meters, the prism seems to levitate over the mountain. The house is organized linearly within a space of 18.5 x 5.5 meters. Its structure and metal enclosure are composed of prefabricated elements transported to the site and assembled there.

The rooms expand towards a north gallery, which folding metal panels protect against wind while serving to filter sunlight. On the contrary, the compact south perimeter presents white sheet metal perforated at strategic points to induce cross ventilation. The interiors are clad in wood. Lit from above, an island of services separates the social area from the private zone.
