The new bridge over the Polcevera is a strategic junction for Genoa, Liguria, and the whole of Italy. Following the collapse of the Morandi bridge in 2018, its rapid reconstruction aims to become a model for the renovation of Italian infrastructures with a high social and economic impact. The new viaduct takes on the character of an urban bridge, and blends with its context thanks to a light and fluid structure composed of eighteen concrete piers with an elliptical section (4 x 9.5m) with a constant pitch of 50m, except for the three central spans over the stream and the railway, with a pitch of 100m...[+]
