Muku nursery in Fuji

Tezuka Architects

The Tokyo practice of Takaharu and Yui Tezuka designed this ensemble of circular structures of different sizes that make up the Muku nursery school in the city named after Mount Fuji nearby. The circular open plans provide 360º views from any point, facilitating child care while maximizing use flexibility. Each single-level wooden pavilion houses a different part of the program. Large eaves form protected areas and shaded zones.
