Set up in 2008 by Miguel Crespo Picot, Javier Guzmán Benito, and Sixto Martín Martínez, the firm Zooco Estudio – working from offices in Madrid and Santander – built this one-family residence based on the rupture of a volume in accordance with a strict sense of direction.

The building is fragmented into three limestone volumes, with emphatic cantilevers over the ground. The north-south elevation presents large openings that frame views of a forest of pines, holm oaks, and cedars, while the east-west side has blind walls facilitating organization of structural elements
