On display through 30 April at the ICONNO, showroom in Madrid are elements and complements designed by renowned architects which are linked to buildings designed by them.
Organized within the framework of Off de Madrid Design activities and in collaboration with the firm Nerinea, the exhibition has been curated by Marisa Santamaría, an analyst of international design trends. The pieces on view are: the Triaedrus reading and drawing lamp by Alberto Campo Baeza, recipient of Spain’s 2020 National Award for Architecture; the Circa chair by Rafael Moneo, holder of the Pritzker Prize and the Prince of Asturias Award; and other objects by Carlos Lamela, Belén Moneo, Carma Pinós, Julio Touza, and Emilio Tuñon.
Marisa Santamaría describes the exhibition as «brief and concise, with seven major Spanish architects displaying one of the designs developed in the course of their careers. A symbol of the influence that the architectural view has on the design of interiors and the elements and functional ‘things’ that surround us and make life easier. It has been an honor to present the sensibility and wisdom of each and every one of them.»
ICONNO, the showroom of Poltrona Frau and Siematic collections, is located at Jorge Juan 38, Madrid.
