The Madrid architecture practice of César Ruiz-Larrea, Antonio Gómez, and Gorka Álvarez – in collaboration with Miguel Ángel Díaz Camacho (MADC) – has won the ideas competition that the CCS (Insurance Compensation Consortium) has organized with a view to executing a full renovation of a 6,298-square-meter building located at Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid, with offices for rent.

The scheme – titled ‘Between Courtyards’ – brings back elements of the construction that was raised in 1903 by Miguel de Olabarría and Benito González del Valle as a palace residence for Pablo del Puerto. The courtyard of the original building is revamped as a space linked to the rear garden.
