The Chilean practice of Cristián Larraín and Matías Madsen, MAPAA, was commissioned to build an office facility in Pirque, a commune in the Santiago Metropolitan Region, in the Maipo River Valley. Surrounded by olives and vines, the 330-square-meter construction is set perpendicular to the northern slope of a hill. Adapting to the irregularities of the terrain, it presents three cannon-shaped naves of exposed concrete, drawing inspiration from traditional underground wineries in the area. The offices are for a father and his son, independent but connected by a central zone that will serve as a meeting room and feature a large tapestry, which in turn will condition the configuration of shared space, A glass front facing the vineyards features a spacious balcony.
