Mullin Automotive Park in Enstone

The design for the Mulli Automotive Park at Enstone Airfield – close to Enstone in West Oxfordshire, in the Cotswold countryside – has been unveiled. The developer is the American businessman Peter Mullin. To house a museum on the history of automobiles over the last century, and with it the changing face of mobility in the future, the firm of Norman Foster has drawn up a project using the small airfield in disuse. The facilities, immersed in the landscape, will be arranged in a crescent. Roads will be built for trying out cars from the Mullin collection, as well as residential pavilions. The design seeks to maximize thermal performance through a combination of passive measures and renewable technologies that minimize energy consumption. The project has been submitted for building permission.
