Baumschlager Eberle Architekten

A scheme drawn up by the practice of Baumschlager Eberle Architekten has been placed first in the competition to build a film industry hub in the Polish city of Toruń. Among the 41 other contestants was Kengo Kuma, who capped the second prize. The project is linked to the annual Cameraimage Film Festival, where the main award is the Golden Frog. Close to the Jordanki Culture and Congress Centre, a work of Fernando Menis, will rise six buildings in various stages, clad in metal and glass and surrounded by green zones. They will contain a film studio, cinemas, training facilities, and a film museum. Completion is planned for 2025.
