The Barcelona-based joint practice of six architects – Marta Benedicto, Ivet Gasol, Carlota de Gispert, Anna Llonch, Lucia Millet, Clara Vidal – built this house near the port of Mahón, on the island of Menorca. Different volumes are assembled to form a fragmented whole, recalling traditional constructions in the area. Every piece contains a room with a faceted geometry that plays with multiple 30º angles. At the heart of the dwelling, a block clad in green enameled ceramic rises to several heights, and a staircase winds around it. Outside, the composition of volumes forms spaces between lattice walls.
