In collaboration with the non-profit organization PienZa Sostenible, the Mexican firms Rojkind Arquitectos and DOSA Studio undertook the reconstruction of this one-family residence, damaged by the earthquake that shook the area in 2017. Using the topography of the place to create different atmospheres in the process of shaping the domestic spaces, four cubes varying in height are arranged around a central courtyard. Circulation outside is through passageways that seek constant interaction among the four volumes, in a total floor area of 50 square meters. Large wooden openings interconnect the blocks visually while optimizing views of the nature around.
