For this hotel located on Paseo Juan Carlos I in the city of Ibiza, the Madrid practice of Silvia Colmenares Vilata renovated an existing 1,512-square-meter building and added a 1,945-square-meter construction.

Various volumes are integrated into the rear zone of the original stepped section, in compliance with the requirement that the setbacks increase with the height of the construction. This tiered composition of volumes forms small terraces for the hotel rooms. The repetition of aluminum louvers – with a finish of resin and wood – in the continuous vertical planes of the new rear facade makes it possible to regulate direct sunlight, giving privacy, movement, and a new unitary image to the complex.
