Rustic but refined like the pastoral characters of the eclogues, a small dwelling nestled into a village in the Lessini Mountains emerges from what was an old barn, between the stone walls of which a structure of fine wooden laths, set three centimeters apart, has been fitted. Though lightweight and therefore easy for self-build, the system nonetheless allows incorporating an earthquake-proof frame, whose stability is reinforced by preexisting walls and the new stairs in the stretches that the latter do not reach. And between the street-side facade, with its pietra di Prun, and a rear generously glazed to harness the south sun, the rooms are laid out on two floors, where the pleasant dominance of wood offers the inhabitants another locus amoenus...[+]
