Café Ká in Vinh

Nguyen Khac Phuoc Architects

On the outskirts of Vinh city in Vietnam, next to the Vsip industrial park, stands this 160-square-meter café. The project was conditioned by a low budget and also by a 5-year land lease term, so the main materials were selected in accordance with their reusability after that period.

Like a tent, the gable roof curves and swells to embrace a terrace and some trees on the site, and is held up by slender iron columns painted white. The ceiling is made of recycled plywood materials, and firewood was used to decorate the interior with the intention of generating a cozy atmosphere.
