The new Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm —which will be built according to Rafael Moneo's project— logically stems from the requirements of the program and the location. The new museum complex is situated among the existing buildings and open spaces on the island of Skeppsholmen. The participating teams had to choose, within the competition area, which buildings would be preserved and where the new spaces would be constructed.
