The oeuvre of Oscar Niemeyer built during this period, very different to any other phase, comprises a group of buildings carried out in the same place, the capital of Brasília, over the course of no more than ten years. Adjusting to the urban plan by Lucio Costa, the light and austere design of the works by Niemeyer in Brasília were able to materialize, at that time, the possibility of a progressive future for Brazil.
