The 2015 Expo in Milan comes as the culmination of a tormented affair with globalization. Multinational interests and local political rewards systems, combined with criminal subcontracts, has resulted in a scandalous urbanization of virgin agricultural territory that will end up filling the pockets of greedy speculators in the name of making the world aware of the importance of food.
