With its seventy floors and 315 meters in height, Pei's Bank of China is the seventh tallest building in the world. The author of the structure, Leslie E. Robertson, is a well-known American engineer who has designed the resistant structures of such important buildings as the World Trade Center in New York, the ATI in the same city and the U.S. Steel Building in Pittsburg. In Spain, he has designed the resistant structure of the Picasso Tower in Madrid.
