The Thomas P. Murphy Design Studio is the latest edition to the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables (Florida). For the architecture school the local firm Arquitectonica has raised this rectangular-planned, 1,858-square-meter building protected by a huge undulating roof. The structure of exposed concrete us held up by narrow steel columns and the facades present hurricane-resistant floor-to-ceiling glass panels. The diaphanous interior features curtains of a reddish fabric to delimit spaces.
