The lager beer brand Victoria, founded in Málaga in 1928, has new brewing facilities designed by the local firm Gana, headed by Antonio Galisteo and Álvaro Fernández Navarro. On the foundations of an old industrial shed located on Avenida Velázquez, at the intersection of two of the city’s most important thoroughfares for wheeled traffic, the intervention respects the existing structure while adapting it to urbanistic requirements, and combines production and logistic activities with guided tours. With its concatenated and visually connected spaces the building preserves the sawtooth formation of the original construction and is given a new white cladding of sandwich panels. Striking a contrast with these opaque sides and the hermetic tradition of factories, the main facade to the north is more open, presenting panes of glass.
