House in Coombe Park Kingston, London

Eldridge London

In the Kingston Hill district of southwest London, amongst oaks and rhododendrons, stands this 505-square-meter house built by the English practice of Nick Eldridge, its glass-and-aluminum enclosure striking a contrast with the brick of the neighboring residences. The project addresses the landscape and adapts to the slope of the terrain with a trefoil-shaped plan at garden level. The building has three floors, the middle one functioning as an entrance and connecting with the upper level, where the master bedroom suite is, by means of a winding staircase. The lower level contains two bedrooms, the kitchen-dining space, and the living room, which opens out to the garden through sliding doors of curved glass.
