The Istanbul firm MAA, headed by the architect Melike Altinisik, has unveiled its competition-winning design for the Robot Science Museum in the Chang-dong neighborhood of the South Korean capital. Saving time and money, robots will build the curving metal facade and also mold, weld, assemble, and polish parts of the structure, besides 3D-printing pieces of concrete for the landscaping around. Drones will be used to map, inspect, and control the robotic construction vehicles. Completion of the museum is programmed for 2022.
