The European Commission and the Mies van der Rohe Foundation have announced the 40 works shortlisted for the 2022 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award, among which are 5 in Spain (85 social housing units in Cornellá del Llobregat-Barcelona, by Peris + Toral arquitectes; 46 subsidized apartments in the Fabra & Coats industrial complex in Barcelona, by Roldán + Berengué; La Borda housing cooperative in Barcelona, by Lacol Arquitectura Cooperativa; the Merola Tower restoration Puigreig-Barcelona, by Carles Enrich; Turó de la Peira Sport Center in Barcelona, by AAN and J2J architects); and the Second Home offices in Holland Park (London), by the Spanish firm selgascano.
