The winners of the prizes organized by the Spanish Association of Architecture Institutes (CSCAE), with the official sponsorship of COMPAC®, were announced. The awarding ceremony also saw César Portela receiving the Gold Medal for Architecture, an accolade the CSCAE has since 1981 been bestowing on the most deserving professional careers.

The Spanish Architecture Award went, ex aequo, to the House in Red in Cebreros (Ávila), by estudio_entresitio, and the Galenicum Headquarters in Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona), by Harquitectes; the Spanish Urbanism Award, to the Plan n’UNDO #Manilva Towards a Local Urban Agenda (Málaga), by (n’OT); and the Permanence Award, to the Congress Center of Murcia, by Paredes Pedrosa Arquitectos.

The winners of the values-related prizes were: in the Sustainability and Health – Universal Values category, the social housing development in Ibiza by Ripoll Tizón; for New Bauhaus – Cultural and Artistic Valies, Wildgarten Quartier Wien – ‘Die Sonnenblumenhäuser’ residential complex in Vienna, by Arenas Basabe Palacios; for Commitment – Social and Ethical Values, Domestic Dawns, Themes of Collective Housing in 21st-Century Europe, by Carmen Espegel, Andrés Cánovas, and José María de Lapuerta; for Profession – Professional Values, Santa Cruz de Villacurí School in Ica (Peru), by Ander Bados and Betsaida Curto; for Habitat – Basic Values for Architecture and Urban Planning, Intervention on the Nueva Umbría Tunny Fishing Facility in Lepe (Huelva), by Sol89; and for RE – Values Associated with Refurbishment, Renovation, and Regeneration, Galenicum Headquarters in Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona), by Harquitectes. The awarding ceremony was held at the Prado Museum, in Madrid, on Thursday 22 June 2023.
