The winners of the awards given by the Spanish Association of Architecture Institutes (CSCAE) were announced at a ceremony where Josep Llinàs accepted the Gold Medal for Architecture and the Alejandro de la Sota Foundation received the Architect Lluís Comerón Prize.
The Award for Spanish Architecture went to 40 rental-housing units in Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona), by MAIO Architects. The winners of the values-related accolades were: the Mediterráneos de la Hoya Gardens Park in Almería, by Kauh arquitectos, in the Sustainability and Health category; the 42 social-housing units in Son Servera (Mallorca), by Peris + Total arquitectes, in the Habitat section ; the Shelter for Homeless Women in Barcelona, by Vivas Arquitectos, under Profession; the Non-Binary Cross Space III in Madrid, by Pachón-Paredes, for Refurbishment; the temporary Horta Market in Barcelona, by RavetllatRibas arquitectes, in New Bauhaus; and the publication Ruinas, cicatrices y huellas, by estudio sic, under Commitment.
The Award for Spanish Urbanism was given to the masterplan for Els Rajolars d’Oliva (Valencia), by Terrario Arquitectura, and the Award for Permanence to the University Campus of Vigo (Pontevedra), by Miralles Tagliabue EMBT.
