Intensity, coherence and originality characterize the work of the Argentinian architect and artist Clorindo Testa, who passed away on 11th April. With an inborn artistic talent, Testa knew how to translate life into images and architectures, integrating local and global themes and tendencies.
Born in Naples thanks to a nostalgic Italian-born father, Clorindo was raised and educated in the cultural and social homeland that for him was Buenos Aires, a dynamic Buenos Aires abounding in European immigrants, the key port of a huge country with a fast-growing agriculture and fishing sector, soon to enter the world market, connector between the world outside and the world inside, center of public life of a nation reinventing itself...
