Villa Timmerman in Gothenburg

Andreas Lyckefors  Josefine Wikholm

The Swedish architects Andreas Lyckefors and Josefine Wikholm, a married couple, raised this wooden construction in the residential neighborhood of Askim, in the city of Gothenburg. Within it, two identical three-floor dwellings have different orientations, and the couple inhabits one of them. The facade presents ribs positioned in three directions, dyed with dark pigments that strike a contrast with the light tones indoors. With a frame of prefabricated elements assembled on the site, Villa Timmerman is designed to be flexible and adaptable to different spatial needs.
