The new swimming pools in the municipality of Alfoz de Quintanadueñas, in the province of Burgos, are located on the boundary between the urban fabric and the agricultural fields. The building presents a succession of layers that unfold from its exterior envelope, which has an emphatically horizontal proportion in alignment with the street. This longitudinal separating element is interrupted by openings arising from the division between the different uses, facilitating the organization of the spaces.

On the outside, the concrete walls incorporate lattices composes of steel slats, which contrast with the continuous ceramic claddings inside. In this way, the monochromatic turquoise bursts against the honest raw texture of the concrete.
