In 2019, the firm headed by Jan Maarten Mulder and Sjoerd Zonderland was commissioned to build Lab02, containing offices and laboratories for manufacturing medicines. Located in Lörrach, near the Black Forest, the 3,400-square-meter building presents a central element: a shared double staircase that connects the indoor and outdoor spaces on all levels. 

Every floor is set back southward, forming terraces with vegetation which are visible from the workspaces. Brise-soleils covered with solar panels shade the glass facades. The ground floor includes a 6-meter-high flexible zone for logistics and storage.
