La Hacienda Jardín in Tepoztlán

With volcanic stone and pinewood the Monterrey-based firm Práctica Arquitectura, led by David Martínez Ramos, built this house located in the town of Tepoztlán. Encompassing 750 square meters, the project took off from a reinterpretation of the classic Mexican hacienda, where the house is surrounded by vegetation. The result is a similar construction of two levels, transferring the garden into a central courtyard, connected to a perimetral volume containing the different rooms.
