Dossier Concrete. Arquitectura Viva 167
Because of its durability, resistance, and aesthetic potentials, besides its capacity to incorporate additives or fibers that improve its properties, concrete has continued to be an indispensable material in architecture. Here are five examples chosen by virtue of their technical innovativeness: a facility by EM2N at a train crossing in Zurich; a vacation house by Buchner Bründler in Linescio, in Italian-speaking Italy; a museum devoted to architectural drawings in Berlin, by the team Nps Tchoban Voss; offices in Munich by Tillicharchitekten; and a performing arts center built by Brasil Arquitectura in São Paulo.
