The Dutch team is building a new complex, comprising three cultural centers and a large bookstore, in the city of Shenzhen, on the southern coast of China. Fragmented into four volumes, the project seeks revitalizing its environment acting as an urban connector. To accomplish this objective, it is arranged as a huge arcade of adjacent constructions between which open different pathways connecting the square with the new financial district. The curved design of the facade supports the natural flow of passers-by, while the oneness of shape, height, and material of the different volumes produces a visually cohesive complex without needing a continuous facade...
