The Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda has distinguished Ángela García de Paredes and Ignacio García Pedrosa with the 2023 National Award for Architecture. This accolade comes with a prize of 60,000 euros.

Both born in Madrid in 1958, they graduated from the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM) in 1983 and trained under Ángela’s father, José María García de Paredes, upon whose decease in 1990 they set up their own practice.

The Valle-Inclan Theater in Madrid, the Archaeological Museum of Almería, the Roman Villa of La Olmeda in Palencia, the Public Library of Ceuta, the Auditorium of Lugo, and the Library of Córdoba are some of their works.
